We undertake to process your data in a fair and transparent manner, in accordance with the applicable legal framework, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation[1]. We strictly adhere to the data protection principles outlined in Article 5 of the Regulation, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
What does this mean in practice:

We collect and process your data in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner towards you as the data subjects. - Purpose Limitation
We collect and process your data only for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes. Your data will not be further processed for purposes that are incompatible with the initial purposes. - Data Minimization

We are responsible and able to demonstrate our compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the competent authorities.
In the context of the protection of personal data processed, the Skills Development and Employment Centers implement a range of appropriate technical and organizational measures, adopt internal security policies, train their personnel which is committed to confidentiality, and use a range of technologies to ensure the security of your data (eg SSL certificate, encryption, certified data centers).
As required by the principles of information security and data protection, technical and organizational security measures are regularly monitored and, if necessary, updated and adapted to new best market practices and in line with commonly agreed international standards
3. What data are we processing, for what purpose and on which legal basis
As a rule, the Skills Development and Employment Centers collect and process your data only when you provide it directly and voluntarily. If you choose to contact us (either by filling in the contact form via our website or by telephone) you provide your explicit consent to collect and process your personal data for the purposes listed below. The Skill Development and Employment Centers do not collect or process personal data of special categories, unless it is absolutely necessary and in accordance with the provisions of Article 9 of the GDPR.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without giving any specific clarification by communicating a written statement to our Company. In this case, the lawfulness of the processing which took place up to the time of such revocation, shall not be affected. Any withdrawal of your consent will result in the failure of the Skills Development and Employment Centers to resume communication and to provide services to you.

Α. Automatically gathered data
Due to the nature of the internet and how it works, as soon as you visit our website, our server records your IP address, which is regarded as personal data, even if we cannot identify you based on this element, along with the date and time of your visit.
The reason (legal basis and purpose) for which we collect your IP address and keep it in log files is twofold: first, our legitimate interest in processing these data, in order to ensure the security of networks, information and services from accidental events or illegal or malicious acts which compromise the availability, authenticity, integrity and confidentiality of stored or transmitted data (eg, control of “denial of service attacks”); And second, our legal obligation to provide a safer environment for the processing of your personal data.
This processing is permissible as it does not pose a serious risk to your rights and freedoms, while it is explicitly allowed under the Regulation’s provisions to rely on our legitimate interest.

4. Who can have access to your data?
The Skills Development and Employment Centers will not sell or distribute your personal data to third parties, except as provided in this Policy.
Your data will be processed by the Skills Development and Employment Centers’ specially authorized staff, per case. Your data will also be passed on to third-party service providers acting for and on behalf of the Skills Development and Employment Centers as Processors under a specific written contractual relationship. This will happen only for the purpose of further processing according to the purpose (s) for which they were originally collected or to fulfill a legal obligation. These third parties have agreed contractually with us to process your personal data for the agreed purpose and prohibit any further processing or disclosure of your personal information to third parties unless required by law or permitted by us or referred to this Policy.
Additionally, in the event that your personal data is transferred outside Greece and/or outside the European Union to third countries, the Skills Development and Employment Centers commit to ensuring a level of data protection equivalent to that provided within the European Union. This is achieved through compliance with the new EU-US Data Privacy Framework[2] and the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)[3] approved by the European Commission, or other approved transfer mechanisms as provided by the GDPR. Recipients of your data may also include the competent Supervisory and Administrative Authorities, within the scope of their responsibilities, following a relevant request. In such cases, we will inform you in advance, unless such notification is prohibited by law.

5. Where and for how long do we maintain your personal data?
For storage and further processing of your data, servers that are within the European Economic Area (EEA) are used. In order to ensure the security of our information systems, we use third-party applications from specific service providers (such as firewalls) that are contractually bound to ensure the protection of your personal data processed by us.
We retain your data solely for the necessary time to meet the purposes for which we have collected it, including the fulfillment of any legal obligation and in accordance with of the Skills Development and Employment Centers’ internal policies and procedures.
After the defined retention periods have elapsed, the data are permanently deleted in a secure, non-recoverable way.
To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the nature of the data as well as the risks that are likely to be caused by unauthorized use or disclosure of your data, and the purposes for which we process them.

6. What are your rights concerning your data?
Based on the GDPR, you have a range of rights in relation to the processing of your personal data.
Specifically, you can:
- Submit a request to the Skills Development and employment centers to inquire about the data we process and, if applicable, you may request a copy of this data (right of access).
- Ask for their correction if your data is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, unrelated or finite (right to rectification).
- Request, under certain conditions, their deletion (right to erasure).
- Require under certain conditions the limitation of processing (right to restrict processing).
- To object, under certain conditions, to their processing from the Skills Development and Employment Centers (right to object),
- Request the data you provide us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (if this is technically feasible) so you can pass it on to another controller (right to data portability),
In the event of a data breach, that may pose a high risk to your rights and freedoms, and if it does not fall under one of the exceptions provided in the GDPR, the Skills Development and Employment Centers are obliged to inform you about the case without any unjustified delay.
Compliance with the legal framework for data processing and, in this context, the exercise of your rights is a priority for the Skills Development and Employment Centers. For this reason, we have the right to request the provision of additional information that is necessary to confirm your identity before exercising your rights.
First, the Skills Development and Employment Centers are required to respond to your request immediately and within one month at the latest. If necessary, considering the complexity of the request and the number of requests, this period may be extended maximum by two additional months. In any case, the Skills Development and Employment Centers will inform you as soon as possible and, in any case, within one month of submitting your request, about the development of the claim and the reason for any delay in its completion.
If your claims are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their recurrence, the Skills Development and Employment Centers may either impose a reasonable fee, taking into account the administrative costs for providing the information or communicating or executing the requested action, or refuse to follow up on your request.

12. Underage Data
Our services are intended exclusively for individuals over the age of 15 and we do not collect any information from those under 15. If you are under 15, ou are not permitted to submit your details to us in any way.
Since it is not technically feasible to effectively monitor the age of users in all cases, we are committed to promptly deleting any personal data related to minors if such information is reported and verified. This deletion does not affect the necessity of retaining data in cases where it is required for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or when consent has been provided by a legal guardian.
If the collection of personal data from children under 15 does occur, the Skills Development and Employment Centers ensure that parental consent is obtained prior to processing. Any processing of such data will only be carried out for the purpose for which it was originally collected.

This Privacy Policy may be modified at any time as deemed necessary by the Skills Development and Employment Centers.
