The inauguration of the Skills Development and Employment Center by METAVASI S.A., part of the ” Skills Development and Employment Centers in Just Transition Development Areas” initiative, marked a key date for the dynamic restart of Megalopolis and the surrounding region, as well as the beginning of a series of actions aimed at establishing the Arcadian city as a major development hub and shaping the new productive model. This initiative is financed by the European Union under the 2021-2027 NSRF, specifically through the Just Transition Development Program.
The opening of the center was a great success, attracting the attention of central, regional, and local political leaders, as well as residents of the broader area.
The innovative Skills Development and Employment Center in Megalopolis, located at Nikitara 63, PO Box 2220, was inaugurated on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 19:30, with blessings from the Local Church (Metropolis of Gortyn and Megalopolis). Official guests from municipal and regional authorities offered greetings and best wishes for the smooth operation of the center.
The inauguration was attended by community representatives along with Mr. Carsten Rasmussen, Head of the General Directorate of Regional Policy and Urban Development, and officials from EYDAM.
